"It Always Jesus Day" - Wisdom from My Daughter
It Always Jesus Day" – The Pure Truth My Daughter Spoke
Today, in the middle of Christmas preparations—lights twinkling, presents half-wrapped, and the house buzzing with excitement—my daughter stopped everything with one sentence:
"It always Jesus day."
She said it so matter-of-factly, like she was stating the most obvious thing in the world. No fanfare. No deep theological explanation. Just pure, childlike faith.
And in that moment, the busyness paused. The decorations faded into the background. Because she had just spoken a truth many of us grown-ups forget: Every single day is Jesus' day.
We often reserve "Jesus time" for Sundays, special holidays like Christmas and Easter, or those quiet devotional moments when life slows down. But my daughter reminded me—Jesus doesn't wait for a calendar date. He is Emmanuel—God with us—every day, in every ordinary, messy, beautiful moment.
Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
"...and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Matthew 28:20 (NIV)
"...And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Colossians 3:17 (KJV)
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Whether we're opening gifts, facing a hard trial, washing dishes, or celebrating His birth on December 25—it always Jesus day.
This Christmas season, when the world focuses on "the reason for the season," my daughter's words invite us to something deeper: Make every season about Him. Every morning, every challenge, every joy—dedicate it to the One who came as a baby, lived as our example, died for our sins, and rose to give us eternal life.
Her innocent declaration felt like a gentle rebuke and a precious gift all at once. In a world that compartmentalizes faith, she reminded me that Jesus doesn't fit in boxes or calendars—He fills everything.

Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for speaking through the mouth of a child. Forgive us when we treat some days as "Yours" and others as our own. Help us live every moment aware that it is always Your day. May our lives reflect Your constant presence, love, and grace.
In Your precious name, Amen.
Thank you, my sweet girl, for the reminder.
May we all live with the same joyful certainty: It always Jesus day.
